Jigyasa’s students celebrate the award won by “Cooking at Home with Pedatha”

Celebrating an award-winning cookbook - Cooking at Home with Pedatha
Jigyasa – dancer & choreographer, as well as a cookbook author & publisher is indeed multifaceted, a term often used by the media and those who know her well. Her cookbooks are a visual treat & a foodie’s dream. Her first cookbook was “Cooking at Home with Pedatha” which she co-authored and published along with her friend & partner Pratibha Jain. This was a tribute cookbook featuring recipes from the kitchen of Subhadra Krishna Rau Parigi, aka Pedatha, the eldest daughter of India’s Former President, Bharat Ratna Dr V V Giri. Jigyasa is married to Pedatha’s nephew who is named after his grandfather. The cookbook won the Gourmand award for Best Vegetarian Cookbook in the World and was felicitated by Karuna International & Indian Vegetarian Congress.
Manasvi - Kathak student
Jigyasa’s students danced at the felicitation event to the patriotic tune of VANDE MATARAM as it seemed apt to celebrate with a song that salutes Mother India. Jazz singer & actress Andreah Jeremiah who has been Jigyasa’s student was the compere of the show. Among the dancers were Aditi Jain, Gayathri Shankar & Manasvi Chordia, who also happens to be Pratibha’s daughter. A befitting tribute, all in all.
